Arme de Passion (with English subtitles)

History, National Defence, Quebec, Remembrance

Please watch the Trailer for “Armé de Passion” edited from bits and pieces of our video research in Quebec City capturing extraordinary events during the 400th Anniversary of the arrival of Champlain and the building of the first European settlement in North America. Our cameras discovered the passion for military life through the eyes of soldiers, historians, experts and volunteers. The historic fire at the Manege Militaire prompted a wave of supportive sentiment and reflection on the role of the militia in Quebec’s life. While Quebecers love their history, the role of the military is complex and constant, proud and conflicted, we hope to make a French documentary that reveals the depth of relations between Quebec and its military and between Quebec and Canada.
